Juan Carlos Ferrero se impuso en un duelo fratricida a David Ferrer y conquistó su segundo título de la temporada en la final del torneo de Buenos Aires, puntuable para el circuito ATP y dotado con 475.300 dólares en premios.
El ex número uno del mundo necesitó remontar para superar a Ferrer por 5-7, 6-4 y 6-3, tras dos horas y 32 minutos de juego, y así sumar su segundo entorchado consecutivo después de imponerse la semana pasada en Costa Do Sauipe (Brasil).
El tenista español Juan Carlos Ferrero calificó como "increíble" el haber ganado dos torneos consecutivos, después de conseguir el título en Buenos Aires tras ganar en la final (5-7, 6-4 y 6-3)."Ganar dos semanas seguidas es increíble, es una gran sensación", comentó Ferrero, que consideró como "clave" para este éxito "el trabajo físico" que ha hecho estos meses. "He estado trabajando muy duro y siento que puedo estar dentro de la pista por siempre. Eso ayuda mucho a mi juego porque llego mejor a la bola y puedo ser más agresivo", apuntó.

Second-seeded Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero continued his impressive run on clay, winning his second ATP World Tour title in as many weeks after rallying past top-seeded countryman David Ferrer 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 on Sunday at the Copa Telmex, an ATP World Tour 250 tournament in Buenos Aires.
“I feel unbelievable after winning two weeks in a row,” said Ferrero. “It is a great feeling. I think the key to my current success is the physical work I have done. I have been working very hard and I know that I can be on the court forever. That helps my game a lot because I get to the ball much earlier and can be more aggressive.
“This also helps me mentally. I feel very strong and know that I have more resources now when playing important points. I have been working with a friend on the mental aspect and all is coming into place.”
