Ivanovic hires Steffi´s Graff ex-trainer - Ana Ivanovic contrata a ex-entrenador de Graff

La serbia Ana Ivanovic quiere volver a ser la Nº 1 y para eso cambia de entrenador. Contrató a Heinz Gunthardt, quien es la persona que llevó a Steffi Graf a cimentar su gran carrera en el tenis.

El suizo Gunthardt llevó a Graf a ganar 12 de los 22 títulos de Grand Slam, de su carrera. Esto motivó a Ivanovic a volcarse para contratar los servicios del laureado entrenador.

La serbia de 22 años, que supo ganar el Roland Garros y llegar al Nº 1, del Mundo, pero en forma efímera, después no pudo volver a ganar nada importante y comenzó a caer estrepitosamente en el ranking.

Former top-ranked player Ana Ivanovic has hired Steffi Graf’s old coach, Heinz Gunthardt, to help end a lengthy slump.

Ivanovic said on her Web site Monday that Gunthardt, who helped Graf win 12 Grand Slam singles titles, will accompany her to the BNP Paribas Showdown in New York next week. Ivanovic has replaced the injured Serena Williams in the exhibition event.

Ivanovic has fallen from No. 1 in the rankings in 2008, when she won the French Open, to No. 23 and was knocked out in the second round of the Australian Open last month.
